ALDOT seeks bids on $1.5 million safety project on Co. Rd. 29

The Alabama Department of Transportation will open bids Sept. 25 on a federally funded safety project covering 9.149 miles of Hale County Road 29, according to a notice to contractors issued by the department.

The project, Federal Aid Project HRRR-3326(250), calls for safety widening, edgeline striping and scoring on County Road 29 from its intersection with Alabama 25 to the junction of Alabama 69 southeast of Havana.

ALDOT’s bracket estimate for the work is $1,473,952 to $1,801,497, and the contract requires the job to be finished in 30 working days.

Sealed bids will be received at ALDOT’s Montgomery office until 10 a.m. Sept. 25 and opened publicly at that time.
