To be accepted has always been a thing, yet being accepted within something worthwhile is more important, such as Ms. Faith Danzy being accepted into ASFA (Alabama School of Fine Arts) within a curriculum that nourishes gifts within an exceptional student. That’s even more to celebrate being accepted into.
Seeing it as a great opportunity and a meaningful step toward her future, Faith and her family are overjoyed.
Faith’s mother has learned to support her passion, literally making it a priority to involve her in environments where she could thrive—enrolling her in summer acting classes, enrichment programs and various productions to help her develop her craft.
Early on, it was evident Faith was a special child. At the age of three, Mr. Health described her as “extraordinary,” inviting her to join his ArtPlay crew, and her mother, Ms. LaQuetta Danzy, really began to see her come alive.
Her passion for singing and love for entertaining and performing has led to an exciting milestone by being accepted into the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
Ms. Danzy told us:
“Faith’s journey offers a simple but meaningful lesson, such as pay attention to what your child (children) enjoys, encourage them to explore it and you just may see it grow into something truly special.”
When asked who supports her the most, young Faith gave some special shout-outs, stating:
“I’d like to thank Jesus and my friend Kendra Harris,”
showing that even though her star potential is on the rise, she’s staying grounded in what matters the most.
Faith has also been inspired the most by actress Angela Bassett and music artist Tyler, the Creator.
Faith recently was a part of the stage production “This Far By Faith,” which was produced by Make It Happen Theatre in conjunction with Ms. Priscilla Hancock Cooper and the Old Sardis Baptist Church family.
As Faith prepares to transition into a new school environment, she is ready to embrace the change and continue the pursuit of her dreams with confidence.
We wish Ms. Faith Danzy and all of our student population the very best in their futures.
