Dr. Jaxson Dangerfield of McCalla selected Hueytown for his practice in order to meet the chiropractic needs of the community.
Pillar Chiropractic was opened in 2024 by Dr. Brad Russell and Dr. Rod Sones. The practice of chiropractic has long been misunderstood. However, today it is recognized as a viable treatment.
A pleasant fellow, Dr. Dangerfield was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. With an engaging personality and a friendly smile, this young doctor has a wonderful relationship with his patients. Dr. Dangerfield is committed to his work of restoring his patients to good health where they can again function.
A member of the board of directors of the Hueytown Chamber of Commerce, this affable man is genuinely interested in people and enjoys good conversation. Dr. Dangerfield will indeed be an asset to the Hueytown community.
How did you become interested in the chiropractic profession?
“My father is a gynecologist, and I was exposed to his medical practice from an early age. It instilled in me a keen interest in healthcare.”
Tell me about Pillar Chiropractic and Rehab?
“As a new patient, you will have an insurance benefit consultation, a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Dangerfield, diagnostic imaging of the area of concern, discussion of imaging and clinical significance, a comprehensive examination, treatment, and specific rehab exercises tailored to the patient’s specific condition.”
What is your educational background?
“I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2020 from the University of North Dakota. I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa in 2024.”

“My wheelhouse is addressing my patients’ medical conditions, including everyday mechanical pain.”
What gives you joy?
“My greatest joy is realized each time I treat a patient.”
Tell me about your family?
“I was born in 1997, the youngest of four children of Cheryl and Dr. Jon Dangerfield of Fargo, North Dakota. I moved to Alabama because I have a brother who lives in Gadsden and the other two reside in Fargo.”
What is your favorite meal?
“I enjoy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, carrots, and for dessert, chocolate ice cream.”
