Visitors to the Hale County Farmers Market on Thursday, June 4, had the opportunity to meet Margaret Ann Snow, the new Home and Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent serving Hale County.
Snow provided educational materials and spoke with attendees about numerous topics, including pollinators and raised bed gardening. She also promoted the upcoming Pollinator Partners of Alabama program, a certified training initiative led by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
Snow also shared handouts on soil sampling and sample collection methods, along with information on attracting pollinators.
Snow also distributed pollinator-friendly flower seeds to encourage habitat growth for bees, butterflies, moths, and other crucial insects.
