Jefferson County will hold a household hazardous waste drop-off event on Saturday, April 25, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., at three locations across the county.
Residents can bring household hazardous waste, electronics, televisions, and documents for paper shredding. Digital data on electronics will be securely destroyed during the recycling process at no additional cost.
The Bessemer-area drop-off site will be located at the City of Bessemer Laydown Yard, 1205 15th Avenue North, Bessemer. Two additional sites will operate simultaneously:
- First Baptist Church of Gardendale – South Location, 940 Main Street, Gardendale
- Classic Car Motoring, 3900 Grants Mill Road, Irondale
