Old-time music remains as popular today as it was years ago. The Hoover Public Library is sponsoring a musical event, Live on the Plaza, on Thursday, April 23, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Featured performers will be The Whistlebees, a Birmingham four-piece string band of musicians and singers.
Performing will be Carter Laney, Stephanie Hunter-Cook, Charlie Hunter, and Andrew Nelson. They are multi-instrumentalists who play the guitar, banjo, fiddle, and bass.
The group will perform old-time music for audiences of all ages, making it an enjoyable event for both young and old alike.
