The Health Extension for Diabetes program has begun in Hale County, and people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes can still join the remaining seven of its eight sessions by registering with the Hale County Extension Office by Friday, Oct. 2, the office said.
Tera Glenn, the Extension agent for health and wellness, opened the first session by welcoming participants, explaining what to expect and taking questions.
The program is an education and support series for people living with diabetes.
To register, call the Extension office at 334-624-8710 by Oct. 2. Anyone who misses the deadline will be invited to the next eight-session program, at a location to be set.
