It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Bessemer. Christmastime has come again. Everyone is in the Christmas spirit.
The streets, avenues, and many storefronts in downtown Bessemer are dressed for the Christmas season. All are festive and joyful.
Everybody was jolly at the Bessemer Christmas Parade held last Saturday, December 13, in anticipation of you-know-who. Warmth, generosity, and love greet young and old alike as shoppers enjoy the sights and sounds of the season.
The old Carnegie Library building, now the offices of the Bessemer Area Chamber of Commerce, smiles with candy canes and wreaths with red bows.
One of the prettiest Christmas display windows in the city can be found at LaCole’s and Ann’s Florist, 1604 Fourth Avenue, North.
Also, Bistro 19 Restaurant at 109 19th Street, North is welcoming and sophisticated.
But above all, the Christmas trees at the columned Bessemer City Hall are beautifully decorated in red, green, gold, white, burgundy, and silver ornaments and aglow with white and colored lights. The sweeping staircase is trimmed in luscious garlands of greenery tied with red bows.
Beautiful decorations, goodwill, and joy abound in the Marvel City at Christmastime.
