Patricia Jane Baker Garyotis was a woman remembered for her deep Christian faith, devotion to family, and long life of service to her church and community.
She was born Patricia Jane Baker and grew up in Akron, Alabama. She later met her husband, Walter B. “Gary” Garyotis, in Birmingham, and they shared 64 years of marriage filled with travel, ministry, and family life.
Over the years, she lived in several places, including Texas, Suriname, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In each community, she was active in church life, including Lakeside Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. She was also involved in local civic and cultural groups and was known for her warm hospitality, prayer life, and love of baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and several siblings.
She is survived by her children Corey Garyotis, Sandy Donatucci, Sherry Shore, and Karen Roberts, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were an important part of her life and legacy.
She died in 2026 at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and family devotion.
