The Greensboro Opera House will host a Patriotic Music Extravaganza on Sunday, June 14, at 3 p.m. as part of Greensboro Celebrates America 250, a series of local events marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Eight professional instrumentalists will perform patriotic music featuring piano, flute, piccolo, fiddle, trumpet, trombone, and drums, with a community choir joining for select numbers.
The program will include anthems, war ballads, hymns, military marches, folk songs, and show tunes.
The Rev. John Alexander will narrate the concert and provide historical context.
The program will honor veterans of all wars, and veterans in attendance will be recognized.
