You can sign up today for the 2nd Annual Bessemer Parks and Recreation 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Keep calm and just run! The fun event will be held at 9 a.m. at the Kenneth E. Gulley Bessemer Recreation Center, 100 14th Street, South in Bessemer.
The public is invited. The registration fee is $40.
This will be a grand opportunity to improve your health and meet new people.
Employees of the city of Bessemer can register for the run at half price. All you have to do is present your city employee ID card at the front desk on the day of the event.
Also, seniors, 55 and older, and kids can register for $10.
