“I love people. I love community.”
That is what Miss Tiffany Cannon brings with her to Hale County Hospital. As the hospital’s new Director of Marketing and Development, she is stepping into a role centered on connection: meeting people, sharing stories, supporting the hospital’s growth, and helping the community see the good work happening here every day.
Through “Hearts of Hale County Hospital,” we hope to share more of the people and stories that make the hospital special. Hale County Hospital is more than a building. It is the nurses, staff, patients, families, and neighbors who believe in caring for this community.
Miss Tiffany is originally from Cullman County and graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in journalism. In 2008, she and her husband moved to Demopolis to run the local newspaper, The Demopolis Times. That work helped grow her love for small towns, local news, and the people who make a community feel like home.
Although she is new to Hale County Hospital, Miss Tiffany is not new to this part of Alabama. She has lived and worked in the Demopolis area for many years and has always known Greensboro as a close-knit community. That connection is part of what drew her here.
“I think that’s one of the reasons why I wanted to come here,” she said, “because I know the community and the hospital are just so close.”
Before joining Hale County Hospital, Miss Tiffany worked at Naheola Credit Union and also spent time working in healthcare. There, she found a special connection with older patients and developed a deep heart for elderly community members. When she heard about the hospital’s plans to better support patients after discharge and help meet needs at home, it immediately touched her.
“That melts me,” she said. “I have a heart for all those.”
For Miss Tiffany, marketing is not just about flyers or announcements. It is about listening, building relationships, visiting businesses, meeting neighbors, and telling the stories that sometimes go unseen. She hopes to help more people know the hospital, trust the hospital, and understand all the ways it serves Hale County.
As she begins her work, community members can expect to see Miss Tiffany around the hospital, in town, visiting local businesses, and building connections across Greensboro, Marion, Tuscaloosa, and beyond.
“There’s something special here,” she said. “I think everybody should know that there’s something special here, and they will.”
