The Hueytown Area Chamber of Commerce held its fifth annual Survivors & Thrivers Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch on Saturday, Oct. 3, at North Highlands Baptist Church in Hueytown.
Bessemer Cutoff District Attorney Lynneice O. Washington spoke, according to a post and photographs from her office. The post thanked Washington and “everyone who shared their heart and inspiring words.”
Proceeds go to the Baptist Health Foundation at Princeton Baptist Medical Center to provide mammograms to local women and men who are uninsured and in need of care, the chamber said.
