The West Alabama Rural Planning Organization will hold its Hale County Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee meeting Tuesday, July 21, at 5:30 p.m. at Moundville City Hall, 410 Market Street.
The RPO serves as a transportation planning process for rural west Alabama, providing a formal link between the Alabama Department of Transportation and local governments in Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, and Pickens counties. The meeting gives local officials and citizens an opportunity to advise ALDOT on road, bridge, and transit projects.
The RPO’s Technical Coordinating Committee and Policy Committee will also meet August 13 and 14, respectively, at the West Alabama Regional Commission in Northport, with virtual participation available.
The meeting is open to the public. Those wishing to participate should email zane.davis@westal.org at least 48 hours in advance.
