Beautifying the city of Bessemer builds community pride.

The city of Bessemer matters. The Bessemer Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bessemer are sponsoring a citywide cleanup initiative on Saturday, May 30.

This most important beautification project will start at 9:30 a.m. at Bessemer City Hall.

Businesses, civic organizations, churches, sororities, fraternities, residents, and individuals are encouraged to attend the “I Care Citywide Cleanup Initiative” Kickoff and get involved. Take pride in your city because you care about the future of Bessemer.

One of the objectives of the meeting is to get as many people involved with the campaign and adopt a city block, a mile, a spot, or some other location. This will be the start of beautifying the city of Bessemer.

Bessemer Chamber President LaTasha Williams said, “Together, we can clean up, lift up and build up our city—one act of care at a time and help us change the mindset of the people. Let others know you CARE.”

A clean city creates safer neighborhoods, attracts businesses and visitors, and encourages participation, and together we improve the city.
