The Hoover Public Library invites the community to celebrate the start of Summer Reading with two upcoming events designed for families and adults.
The Summer Reading Kickoff will take place on Friday, May 22, from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout the library. This all-ages event will feature crafts, activities, and treats, offering families a fun and welcoming way to begin the summer season.
Adults can join the celebration the following week at Books, BBQ & Bingo: An Adult Summer Reading Celebration on Saturday, May 30, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM on the Theatre Level. This adults-only event (18+) will include food, games, and the chance to win prizes, including a $100 Visa gift card.
These events mark the beginning of the library’s Summer Reading program, which encourages readers of all ages to stay engaged with books and learning throughout the summer. A full calendar of Summer Reading events is available at www.hooverlibrary.org.
