The Hale County Library concluded its America 250: Unearth a Story summer reading program on Friday, July 31, with a party recognizing the efforts of its young readers, sponsored and hosted by the Friends of Hale County Library.
Participants were recognized and awarded cash prizes for reading the highest number of books during the program. Castleman Bonds took first place as the program’s top reader.
Also recognized were Charles Howell in second place, Mar’Kayla Armstrong in third, and Kiya James in fourth. Every child who took part received a cash prize for helping make this year’s program a success.
The Friends of Hale County Library and the Hale County Library thanked the families, participants and supporters who made this year’s program a memorable experience.
