Marie Williams Parker

Marie “Ree” Williams Parker, 66, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, at Park Place Nursing Home in Selma. Sister Marie Williams Parker was born on December 5, 1959, in Hale County to the late Albert Williams and Rebecca Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Rebecca Williams; her husband, Richard Parker; her baby; and her five brothers.

Marie leaves to cherish her loving memories four children, Eddie Williams of Greensboro, Rebecca Muhammad of Marion, Ashleigh Parker of Marion and Martha Parker, and a stepson, Richard Parker Jr.; 11 grandchildren, Clevondrian, Derlexius, Darryll, Darrion, Demetrius, Leslie, Isis, Axum, Ciarra, Eniyah and Ziatiani; one great-grandchild, Amir; four brothers, Elijah Williams of Greensboro, Danny Williams of Tuscaloosa, Eddie Williams of Indianapolis and Robert Williams of Illinois; two sisters, Delois Jackson of Greensboro and Gloria Williams Hall of Alabaster; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her homegoing celebration was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, at Washington and Paige Mortuary, 17745 Alabama Highway 25 North, Greensboro, with Pastor Corey Savage of Plum Grove Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, officiating. Washington and Paige Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
