The Hale County Animal Shelter in Greensboro is asking individuals, families, businesses and organizations to sponsor an animal’s adoption fee, and it is looking for a home for Sloan, a 5-year-old Great Dane and Great Pyrenees mix who came in as a stray in February and had a litter of puppies soon after.
A sponsored fee gives that dog or cat extra exposure, the shelter said, and can be the reason a visitor stops and takes the animal home.
Sloan raised her puppies at the shelter. She is fully vaccinated and scheduled to be spayed, and she is heartworm positive and under treatment. The shelter describes her as sweet, smart and good with other dogs.
The shelter said it would welcome visitors and can supply photos and information on Sloan and the other dogs and cats waiting for homes.
