Anglers who fish the lower Cahaba River watershed are invited to a community workshop Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Dallas County Extension Office, 429 Lauderdale St., Selma, part of an EPA-funded aquatic litter project led by Auburn University.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is working with anglers and local communities to understand litter problems on the river and identify ways to keep the waterway clean and healthy, the Extension system said. Anyone who fishes the lower Cahaba, occasionally or often, is asked to share their experience.
