PUBLIC HEARING/COMMENT PERIOD NOTICE
MARENGO COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
Marengo County has updated its Solid Waste Management Plan in accordance with Code of Alabama Section 22-27-47.
The Solid Waste Management Plan provides for the anticipated solid waste needs of Marengo County for the next ten years. The plan includes the summary and estimation of generation, collection, disposal, recycling, etc. of solid waste generated in Marengo County.
A public comment period will commence on September 1, 2026, and will extend through the close of business on October 13, 2026.
A Public Hearing will be held at the regular Marengo County Commission Meeting on October 13, 2026, at 101 E. Coats Ave., Linden, AL at 9:00 a.m. Interested persons may attend and comment at the meeting.
A copy of the plan may be reviewed at the office of the Marengo County Commission, 101 E. Coats Ave., Linden, AL between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday, or online at www.marengocountyal.com.
