Sawyerville man died Wednesday, Aug. 12, in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama 69 in Tuscaloosa County.
Willie P. Bryant, 60, was fatally injured about 8:15 p.m. when the 2004 Honda VTX1300C motorcycle he was operating was struck by a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Melinda M. Taylor, 48, of Tuscaloosa. Bryant was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Taylor was injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment. A 14-year-old passenger in the Blazer was also injured and taken to a local hospital.
The crash occurred near the 137 mile marker, approximately four miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limits. Nothing further was available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
