Hale County’s “Don’t Drop it on Hale” campaign concludes this weekend, August 7-9, with dumpster sites at five locations across the county for residents to drop off approved items.
The five sites will be at Alabama Highway 25 and County Road 49, on Old Highway 80 near the Gallion Post Office, on County Road 16 near the Lock 5 Fire Station, at County Road 21 and Raven Road, and at Highway 61 and County Road 7.
The first cleanup weekend was held July 31 through August 2..
Items not allowed include trees or brush, chemicals, paint cans of any kind, propane tanks, freezers, refrigerators, batteries, flammable liquids, construction material, household trash and fire extinguishers. All items should be placed in the dumpsters.
