The AARP invites one and all to join them for a day of health, wellness, education and resources.
AARP Central Birmingham Chapter 4668 will sponsor a Health Fair on Tuesday, August 18, at the Bill Harris Arena at the Crossplex, 2340 CrossPlex Blvd in Birmingham.
The event, open to the public, will start at 10 a.m. and will close at 2 p.m.
Willie Doss is the contact person for the event.
Pamela Bishop is the program committee chairperson.
“AARP Central Birmingham Chapter 4668 is proud to give back to the community we love. Our health fair brings together health providers, community organizations and residents under one roof to promote wellness, prevention and healthy living,” said Central Birmingham Chapter Public Relations Chairperson Karen Hutchins.
Among the information and services offered will include health screenings, samples and giveaways, interactive activities, and health and wellness resources.
The Central Birmingham Chapter 4668 has a membership of 150-plus strong. In October of this year, the chapter will celebrate its 35th anniversary as an AARP chapter.
