Even though it is not officially summer yet, a highly competitive softball game will take place tomorrow. Who will win?
The 2026 Battle of the Badges Softball Game is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at 2 p.m.
The best two out of three games will be played between the Bessemer Fire Department and the Bessemer Police Department.
The proceeds benefit a Bessemer-area school. The name of the winning school will be drawn following the end of the games.
The Kenneth E. Gulley Recreation Center, located at 100 14th Street South in Bessemer, is the site for this exciting game.
Planning the fun-filled fundraiser are Lt. Bobby Horn and Lt. Kendra Ward.
Along with bragging rights, the winning team will receive a special trophy.
