The Magnolia Homemakers and Community Leaders held their April meeting on Monday, April 21, in the Extension Auditorium of the Hale County Extension Office in Greensboro.
Under the leadership of President Pam Hamilton, the meeting opened with the pledge to the American flag and a bee-themed devotional, followed by a business session. Members discussed plans for nursing home residents, support of the local animal shelter, and the group’s educational scholarship program.
The monthly program focused on gardening and was presented by Justin Tate and Gladys Hglorth, Extension Agents with the Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension Program.
A spring luncheon featuring chicken tenders, sliders, fresh fruit salad, seven-layer salad, crackers, and cupcakes was prepared by hostesses Jeanelle Jacobs and Vera Johnson.
