The City of Bessemer is seeking bids for the construction of a Storage Building to be located on the grounds of the Kenneth E. Gulley Recreation Center.
The project includes:
- A new one level 30ft x 50ft building
- A storage room and one small 12ft 8” x 12ft office
- Concrete slab on grade with hip roof structure
- Wood trusses with architectural shingles
- Load-bearing concrete masonry unit walls with exterior brick veneer matching an adjacent building
- Two 8’x10’ roll-up utility doors and one man door
- A/C wall unit in office and addition to adjacent concessions building
- Coordination of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
Project Requirements:
- Completion time: 150 consecutive calendar days
- Liquidated damages: $500.00 per day beyond completion time
- No Pre-Bid meeting
Bid Documents:
A complete set must be obtained from EEFS Company, PC upon a deposit of $250 per set (refundable under stated conditions). Documents must be picked up no later than 24 hours prior to bid opening.
Bid Security & Licensing:
- Cashier’s check or bid bond: minimum 5% of bid (max $10,000)
- Performance Bond: 100%
