A Duncanville woman has been charged with attempt to elude a law enforcement officer following an incident in Hale County nearly two years ago.
Kayla Michelle Black, 31, of 12060 Park Forest Trace, Duncanville, was arrested on March 15 and charged with attempt to elude, a Class A misdemeanor under Section 13A-10-52 of the Code of Alabama.
According to a complaint filed in Hale County District Court, the alleged offense occurred on June 30, 2024. Officers were on scene conducting an investigation and awaiting a response from the Cordova Police Department regarding a traffic failure to appear when Black left the scene before being released by officers.
Black appeared at an initial hearing on March 16 before District Court Judge Timothy A. Evans and was released on a $1,500 bond.
