The Newbern Public Library will host a “Heirs Property Community Education” program on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the library, 7840 Highway 61 in Newbern.
The session will be led by an attorney with Legal Services Alabama and will focus on helping residents understand heirs’ property and how to protect family land.
Library officials say the program is especially timely as some local landowners are facing heirs’ property questions connected to the ongoing sewer project in Newbern. The workshop will offer clear information and an opportunity for participants to discuss their own situations with the attorney.
