According to the Code of Alabama (1975), the Bessemer City Council has the authority to appoint members of the Bessemer Public Library Board of Trustees.
At a recent meeting of the Bessemer City Council, Bryonda A. Collins was nominated and appointed to the Bessemer Public Library Board of Trustees, Place No. 1.
Collins lives at 2527 9th Avenue, North, Bessemer and will serve the unexpired term of Lula D. Walter, ending June 30, 2028.
Councilman Chester W. Porter nominated Bryonda A. Collins for the appointment to the Library Board. Councilman Cleo King nominated Lorraine Pringle for the appointment.
The nominations were closed and, upon roll call, Porter’s motion was approved.
