Bessemer Mayor Kenneth Gulley will deliver the State of the City Address on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 6 p.m. The address will be held at the Bessemer Civic Center. The public is encouraged to attend this most important event.
This will be Mayor Gulley’s 15th State of the City Address. His focus has always been on that which is in the best interest of Bessemer.
Mayor Gulley will highlight the accomplishments of 2025 and share his vision for 2026. His values and what he believes in has always shaped his administration for the last four terms.
He will outline his administration’s goals for the New Year. Topics will include the quality of life, financial state of the city, public safety, and economic development.
One of the most important agencies of city government is public safety. Mayor Gulley stated, “In 2025 we were down in every category of criminal activity in the city of Bessemer.”
