Peggy Johnston Daniels, 82, died Sunday, March 23, 2026. She was born August 2, 1943, in Moundville to George Rufus Johnston and Virginia Johnston. She was a member of Thomasville Baptist Church.
Visitation was held at Sweet Water Baptist Church on Thursday, March 26, from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time, with Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Burial followed at Sweet Water Cemetery. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Daniels; a son, Tim Daniels; her fiancée, Luther Gaddy; a son-in-law, Danny Walker; and a grandson, Ryan Walters.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Etheridge (Jimmy) and Vivian Walters (Randy); a son, Chet Daniels (Joan); a sister, Janice Folmar; a brother, Bobby Johnston; grandchildren Candy Thompson (Pat), Chris Walker (Jennifer), Daniel Walker (Tara), Dr. Randy Walters (Angie), Karen Drinkard (Cody), Dylan Daniels (Chrystal), Chelsea Morgan (Christopher), and Alexandria Woodard (Kyle); and numerous great-grandchildren.
