Bessemer City Councilman Porter hosts meeting on human trafficking

Chester W. Porter, Bessemer City Council

Protecting the general welfare of the citizens of the City of Bessemer is a priority, and a community meeting on human trafficking serves a valid and important purpose.

Recently, Bessemer City Councilman Chester W. Porter, Dist. 2, scheduled a community meeting focused on human trafficking awareness.

The event was held at the Kenneth Gulley Recreation Center on 14th Street in Bessemer.

Porter said:

“It is important that the city of Bessemer continues to promote and highlight human trafficking, which is an ever-increasing crime that extends across the United States.”

A panel of local and state professionals attends the event to discuss this critical issue and provide insight, education, and awareness to the community.

The symposium is free and open to the public.

The event promotes the general welfare of the community.

Another meeting is scheduled for March.
