Lois Jean Bishop Lee, 61, was born June 29, 1964, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Pearlie Bishop and Joe Perry, and died December 7, 2025. She accepted Christ at an early age. Lois enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family.
Her oldest son, DeMondre “Dre” Bishop; her father, Mr. Joe Perry; her grandparents, Ida Mae and Hayward Lee Bishop; and her sister, LaChandra Bell, preceded her in death.
Lois leaves her cherished husband, James Lee, of Sawyerville, Alabama; her son, Jimmy Lee Powell III, of Huntsville, Alabama; her in-laws, Dora (Jesse) Miller, Pamela (Marcus) Conner of Sawyerville, Alabama, and Lytosha Lee of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and her stepchildren, Markieth Gray, Jasmine White, James Lee Jr., and Marklius Ryans. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jhaven Powell, Treasure Powell, Jimmy Powell Jr., Landon White, and Journee Shelton; and very special aunts who raised her, Bettye Battle and Rosa Ellis.
Lois is survived by five sisters: Jacqueline Bishop (Nikkia) of Atlanta, Georgia, Marilyn Clay Hill of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Debra Clay of Tupelo, Mississippi, Rhondia Bell (Cecilio) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Marcia Brooks of Oakland, California, and Christina Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life service was held Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Washington & Paige Mortuary Chapel, 17745 Highway 25 North, Greensboro, Alabama, with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating.
