Alabama man dies in wreck near Selma

A single-vehicle crash at approximately 11:40 p.m. Friday, May 20, has claimed the life of a Selma man. Joseph J. Martin, 47, was fatally injured when the 2003 Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Martin and the vehicle were located on Monday, May 23. Martin was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 14 near the 125 mile marker, approximately seven miles east of Selma, in Dallas County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
