USA250-The Chronicle of America

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the Old Autauga Historical Society is sponsoring an excellent exhibit of America’s history.

Known as USA250 – The Chronicle of America, it opens on April 9–11, 2026, in Prattville, Alabama. The exhibit will be held at the Doster Center, 424 South Northington Street.

The event is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Autauga County was established in 1818, making it a county older than the state of Alabama.

Larry E. Caver is president of the Old Autauga Historical Society.

On April 9–10, the venue is open from 3 p.m. until closing, and on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The exhibit includes 250 trifold displays depicting 250 years (1776–2026) of United States history.

Featured will be the founding history of our country, along with highlights from the military, arts, science, music, drama, clothing, food, farming, technology, and much more.
